Win Two Tickets for The Blue Moon Festival 2017

This year, Spectrum and Reboot bring you its annual Blue Moon Festival in conjunction with Psyked in the City and ROCKITSHIP RECORDS. We’ll be doing the unthinkable and creating three dance-floors at the notorious Hectic on Hope, also known as EVOL. Party goers can look forward to some powerful full-on/night time psy in the Main Arena, while the Prog Arena will be reserved for Cape Town’s finest progressive acts. Then, of course, there’s the dark psytrance and high-tech arena which will be blasting that dark mind-mangling goodness for those who prefer things a bit harder and faster. Scroll down to view the line-up.

Needless to say, we’re incredibly excited to be part of this anticipated event! We’ve got two tickets to give away to one lucky trancling. Follow the steps below and it could be you.

Review: Labyrinth ALIVE.

On Saturday night I had the privilege of attending Labyrinth ALIVE.  As usual, the event was hosted at Trinity, which just so happens to be my all-time favourite place to stomp indoors.
So, what is there to love about  Labyrinth the end of the day? Aren’t all trance parties the same?

The answer is NO! Ask anyone who has attended a Labyrinth event; I’m positive they’ll agree, they are always extremely well organised, awesomely decorated and feature some of the best local and international psy artists to hit Cape Town. Although the queue at the door was rather long, once I entered the venue I knew that it was worth the wait. The music was pumping at full-force, people were getting wild and the visuals… Well, I think the photographs speak for themselves.

As promised, party-goers were visually enticed with tanatalisingly trippy decor and stage design by LumiNOS Decor and Myles Design, as well as a live VJ display from Frank Latter Visuals.

This time around, I was lucky enough to jam my feet off to Sub6,
the Israeli psy sensation all the way from Tele Viv.
His set articulated everything the event stood for, total liveliness and upbeat energy.

The killer lineup also included DJs: Danalog, Stereotype, Feedback and HEADROOM and an insane closing set from Deliriant. The dancefloor was vibrant and buzzing with stomping feet, swaying hips and many smiling faces, all the way through.
